Put kitchen remodel deliveries in the right order

Schedule kitchen deliveries around the work sequence and confirmed measurements. Cabinets arriving does not mean the room is ready for installation, and final measurements for some countertops can only be taken once the cabinet boxes are installed.

Build one shared work schedule

Review the plan with the cabinet supplier, installer, electrician, and plumber as needed. Establish which dimensions must be confirmed before ordering and which can only be measured on site. Record the dependencies between demolition, preparation, building-system work, and installation.

Assign someone to track the whole project. If each supplier knows only their own appointment, a change at one stage may never reach the next person.

Confirm delivery and storage arrangements

Ask whether delivery is to the property, inside the building, or directly into the home being remodeled. Check access routes, package sizes, and who carries the products. Materials placed on the kitchen floor may obstruct the very job that needs to happen next.

Agree who receives and checks deliveries. Record damage, missing parts, or incorrect items and notify the supplier promptly. Before the project starts, establish how waiting for a replacement would affect installation.

Build confirmation points into the schedule

Do not book every visit on the assumption that each stage will finish without further decisions. Ask the installer to confirm readiness and agree when plumbing and electrical connections can be completed.

A custom countertop delivery, for example, may leave the kitchen temporarily without a working sink. Ask whether a temporary arrangement is needed and included in the quote. Plan living at home during a remodel around the actual interruptions to use.

Keep delivery dates, contacts, and changes in the same schedule. That also makes it clear whose confirmation is needed next.
